   ive been trying to find some general info about aftermarket ECUs but found fudge all, search says the word ecu is too short
   
   so if anyone could help me with good brands, what it enables me to do, were to get one and the best one for my setup in my car....

   So many out there
   each have there pros and cons
   
   dave walker has dealings with one of them
   ill be getting that and then getting the man himslef to map it for boost as he is only 25 miles from me.

   There is alot available some of which are very good, others which arent.
   
   How much are you looking at spending?
   
   Also regardless of how good an ECU's potential is, it goes hand in hand with the map which is put on it.
   
   Someone who is good at doing the mapping could make all the difference

   106 s1 rallye inlet
   supersprint 421 manifold
   supersprint full system exhaust
   bmc cda induction
   
   and will be ordering a wild fast road cam, undecided on which one yet.

    Think he means liek what use you want the cam for, as a REALLY wild cam willbe terrible for every day use as the powerband will be canny small
    
    Where as a mild-wild cam would have a larger powerband so would be better for every day use.
    
    I think thats what he ment anyways

    dave walker has been mentioned ive chatted to him bout the emerald ecu, and they told me about that place i told you bout in portsmouth, they are dealers for emerald so they can fit it and map your car, ideal for you as its just across the water, why not email them saying what you want doing with the car, or even pop down and have a chat, i know you have been in contact with them but unsure on what you said.
    
    if your not sure on things why not give someone like gmc a call and chat to them about the bits and bobs and find out what they think is best for you?

    If your considering any mods mods after these..ie throttle bodies its worth looking at standalone
