Gear knob on a 1.1...Again

   I know this is a requently asked question, but iv looked at all the threads and my situation is differnet.
   
   Basically, Im replacing my gear knob on my 1.1. It was one of those full rubber gear gater/knob combo's. I had to cut the gaiter off, then i went to get the knob off, so put it in 4th, sat in the back and pulled, and....the outer knob came off leaving a black plastic lump thing about 2inchs long on the end, and this really wont budge at all, any ideas??

   Either way you will have to either cut it off with a hacksaw or sumit or change the gear shaft thing.

   no it doesnt, ill try and get a pic in the morning, its literally the biggest chunk of black plastic you ever did see.
