volt one goes to + on battary.... or if its for a amp, key into the amp power cable...

oil temp you need a T piece, and need to get a sump plug with the thing for the temp sensor in it

can't I wire the volt meter to the live on the back of my headunit? and I don't have a clue about how I do the oil temp

your could wire it to there, and with the oil temp, places like demon tweeks sell sump plugs with a threaded hole in for the temp sensor to go into, which goes upto your gauge

    voltmeter is easy

    should be 3 wires.
    earth-headunit
    live-battery of headunit.
dim- to dim the clock down at nights.

    oil temp
need a sender to fit a adaptor. not the sump plug
there is another whole just further up back of block area.
    plug out.
    sender in.
bare in mind. will have to drain engine.easiest option or it just gets messy.
2 wires from sender through in to dash. to gauge.
then then pending on the gauge and what wires you have from it.
    sorted

    what's the dim mean?
  7. #7
    dim

    not as bright
when u turn your headlights on it dims the voltmeter light background. so its not bright in your face

and how do I make it do that?
  9. #9
    show me your gauage.

    to be honest
you dont really need to use the dim
    i didnt.
