hi, I've just got a volt meter gauge and a oil temp gauge, but I don't know where or how to wire them, could any1 give me some guidence?

volt one goes to + on battary.... or if its for a amp, key into the amp power cable...
oil temp you need a T piece, and need to get a sump plug with the thing for the temp sensor in it

can't I wire the volt meter to the live on the back of my headunit? and I don't have a clue about how I do the oil temp

your could wire it to there, and with the oil temp, places like demon tweeks sell sump plugs with a threaded hole in for the temp sensor to go into, which goes upto your gauge

voltmeter is easy
should be 3 wires.
earth-headunit
live-battery of headunit.
dim- to dim the clock down at nights.
oil temp
need a sender to fit a adaptor. not the sump plug
there is another whole just further up back of block area.
plug out.
sender in.
bare in mind. will have to drain engine.easiest option or it just gets messy.
2 wires from sender through in to dash. to gauge.
then then pending on the gauge and what wires you have from it.

not as bright
when u turn your headlights on it dims the voltmeter light background. so its not bright in your face

wired the volt gauge this morning to the headunit and how do I get the light to come on with the headlights?
