Headlights...

   Well i want to smoke my headlights on the pug... was wondering if anyone knows if you do it the same way as the saxo... plastic lense on them, and can you do the usual, smoke the whole thing apart from the chrome around the headlight bulb... since the whole light is chrome i will have to watch what i spray...
   
   anyone know what temp and how long in over to melt the glue??

   i put my oven on 70oC and checked every 5 mins
   
   Also put a heat proof towel on the metal rack so it didnt melt into the light!!
   
   I have an electric oven tho so may be diff with a gas one if this is what u have

   come one, whitby isnt that bad we do have electric ovens
   
   so 70 you say, how long would you say yours took?? in the oven i mean, i plan on doing them on saturday and having them back in on the day

   yea anything between 70-100 degress, but make sure to put a heat rppof towel on the ovens shelf!
   
   I also put one over the top just to be sure!
   
   Mine took around 3 hours from taking off the car to being back on the car
   
   used a hair dryer to get the paint to dry quicker lol lol
   
   but make sure you keep checking your lights, even if you pry the glass and plastic apart a little bit then put them back in to loosen abit more. i thik mine took around 10-20 mins before i got the glass off. but yours may be done quicker or may take longer, but i CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO KEEP CHECKING!!!!!!!!!!!
   
   i kept checking mine and still bent a bracket cos it melted a little, so had to bend it back.

   the lense is plastic on the headlights aswell... so its taking plastic off plastic...
   
   did you just put them back in to warm the glue back up to put them back together??

   Oh, plastic off plastic, errr im nto sure if the oven method will work tbh, you may want to check this with someone else, as you may crack the plastic lense!!!!!
   
   If you can do this, then yes i jst put them back in the oven to heat the glue up again.
   
   OR
   
   You can scrape all th glue off and re-seal them some silicone but this obviosuly takes longer
