Is possible to make a saxo RWD or 4WD???

Im curious to know as front wheel drive cars are known to understeer when being pushed hard. I wandered if it is possible to convert a saxo to rear wheel drive or even 4 wheel drive to improve the handling. If so has it been done??

possible, expensive as well. Lots of custom work invloved. Z-cars made a mid engined rwd saxo with a civic type r engine. I beleive a member on here is currently attempting to make a rwd or 4wd saxo cant remember what engine or running gear he's using though.

I think the easiest way to do it is to have two cars, cut the front off one and then weld it into the back of the other. Mount the engine box etc as normal and just connect it all up.

When you say it like that it sounds easy but i can't imagine it being even slightly easy.

Rear wheel drive doesn't instantly make a good handling car...

You can push a well set up front drive car a lot harder on the road as well, if you like that sort of thing.

And if you are getting a lot of understeer in the saxo, then you might want to alter your driving style lol!

If you have money to chuck about yes!

Get a decent suspension set up and some good tyres and it will be 100% better than before anyway!

I was always under the impression RWD was harder to drive!
