oil cooler

    im sure i read somewhere on the forum that a vts has a oil cooler as standard?

    if i want to upgrade this is it just a case of gettin a cooler and lines?

    also where the hell is it? lol

    The standard oil cooler/heat exchanger is located between the oil filter and the engine block. It should have 2 spounts which link to top coolant hose, the one which goes from the radiator to the thermostat housing.

    If you want to ugrade and remove this you will require a 106gti top rad hose which comes without the spouts(Earlier 106gti's didnt have this oil cooler)

    You will then obviously need to drain the coolant and re-bleed.

    GMC do a good mocal oil cooler kit with thermostatic sandwich plate for about £150 delivered.
