Induction Kit?

  1. #1
Picking my car up on saturday and first of all before proper engine modding begins i want to sort out how the cars looks. . BUT i also want the car to sound nice so im thinking of gettin a induction kit and either just a backbox for now or cat back. So obviously aswell as sounding the part i want a induction kit which is the best performance wise. So which would you recommend and are these two any good? If so which is best?
    All help appreciated

For your exhaust, I'd get a cat-back system... getting it partially done (backbox only) is tacky, imo.

Secondly, I'd do it in two parts, induction first, then exhaust system.. or vice versa. A garage will most likely ask you what sound you want, how quiet or loud you want it and if you want a silencer fitted. As for an induction kit, the BMC CDA (which I have) is a rather quiet kit, which can mainly be heard at low revs. Raceland/Green on the other hand is quite loud. I wouldn't really look at any other kits other than these two.

The BMC CDA is more expensive, but the build quality is better, as are the components and is easy to fit plus imo, it looks better than the Raceland/Green kit. Performance wise though, not much different.

The best place to go through for either of these would be http://www.kamracing.co.uk/

I wouldn't bother decatting the car either, unless you can be bothered with the hassle that is caused come MOT time.
