106gti/saxo vts

right i know this may seem like a noob comment/question from me

but as you may know i recently aquired a 106gti
its fully standard but seems to sit pretty low (it was about 20mm higher than makaveli144s vts n thats down 60iirc)
also it feels a lot flatter in corners than my old vts (i know the 24mm rear arb was in some gtis)

but are they on a lower/stiffer setup as standard (similar to the fiesta zetec s ect) as i thought they would be the same however ive heard several differnt things about it (like the local pug garage claim there 1 click lower on the back as standard ect)

just wondering really as all ive done is fitted my brakes and it handles rather well (for a standard car)

makes no difference really as itll be too low to handle next year when i have some cash

but its just a question im wondering lol

i personally dont know if they are lower as standard but i wouldnt believe what the local garage said if they are talking about 'clicks' as they obviously dont know the correct way to lower a saxo/106 anyway.

The GTI's stiffer ARB's makes it better balanced thru the corners and Peugeot allegedly spent a lot of time fine-tuning the damper settings... it shows, I think.

I've owned both.. the GTI was more driftable/chuckable, where the VTS understeered more and just wasnt very confidence inspiring when the rear stepped out, harder to provoke and then much more snappy when it did.

If you lower it on the cheap and without spending a great deal of thought, you'll ruin what is a brilliantly balanced car as standard.

yea i though it felt better didnt know whether it was just me being odd
i know the arb is thicker

im looking at a reasonable kit for it but nothing ultra expensive
    just a decent road kit
