Stubb Pins

Can any 1 tell me how to check te stubb pins on my rear axle and how to replace them thanks.
  2. #2
to check them you need to remove the rear arm and look for rust/pitting. to replace them you will need to get some made as you cant actually buy them. unless someone is sellin them on the ebay

    gmc sell the stub pins
  6. #6
they not the stubs for the trailing arm though? think its the 1s pressed into the beam he means,
  7. #7
im pretty sure they are stubb pins!
  8. #8
i know, but i think GMC sells the strubb pins that go on the arms. not the ones in the beam.
  9. #9
i think its the ones on the beam, ive heard from piggy and he says look at he lowering guide, but ive had a look and cant c any mention of them anywr, all i want to do is replace my rear axle, just wondering whats all involved, but as i have bought a second hand beam i want to make sure its not fuked b4 i go to all the hassle of putting it on.

to check the stubb pins you need to remove the arb, torsion bars and then trailing arms

if there is any scoring at all (pits or darker patches) then you wil require a refurb or a different axle and risk that one being damaged aswell
  11. #11
im going to make some more stub pins so will get some beams made up and give you a price.

    track being your keyword.
Clearly not seen the shit we used to get up to in the early hours of the morning.

thats what fecked the rack, used to make a weird noise after long drives, then it just went.

Then realised prefer not to stone chip my car to shit.

As for saying i cant drive, i can drive fairly well thank you

    Just for the record.

Its never been handbraked or on maccy d trays lol

I she was mint when i got her, but then the rallye steelies went on and i went down the rally slag route, then she started to get wounded so i stopped and thought al take her on track instead haha
Almost back to how i bought her now, but with upgradings.
Steering rack needs doing, beam can wait as its not really that bad.
Backbox, manifold, lower strut brace, then small bits and bobs and thats it back to mint again really.
