At the min im thinking about getting rid of the back seats then putting a show cage in and then building up a load of ply wood and then putting a lot of audio equipment in .

But before i do this i was wondering if anybody has got rid of the seats and regretted it later on in time

Thanks for your views it will help me out alot

i took out my back seats dont regret it because couldnt use them as had non reclining bucket seats in the front. only thing is its quite a bit lighter and i kept nearly losing the back end of it round roundabouts x

Yeah, i was thinking about taking mine out and getting a full 10point cage welded in. Im going to take mine out and leave it a month or two, then see if i miss them.

Great excuse to not give people lifts too. haha

i miss not having back seats, but it feels sooooooooo much quicker without them, probably because all i can hear is road noise and the exhaust all time though!

its really loud, hear every rattle and squeak, hear fuel pump whining.

plus show cages are shite - don't make me use the quote

i haven't got any pics but i can take some. The difference isn't that much, some may say different but i took the car drag racing a lot last year and stripping the car out gained me 0.3 of a second. Sounds like nothing but its a lot on a drag strip. The biggest difference is the noise, every gear change you hear the exhaust pop and overall you generally hear pretty much everything. It creates an illusion that you are going much faster than what you really are because of the noise. I'm sure if you have a search there will be plenty of guys on here that have stripped theirs out. To some people it looks very untidy and unfinished because the interior on the saxo isn't properly painted, its all overspray but then to others they think it looks really good. It all boils down to what your into!
