106 gti backbox

   anyone got pics of this on there saxo? will it make a difference in sound? main reason wana see a pic is to see how it would sit on the bumper. if the bumper would need cutting or if itwould sit under it. as if it would sit under i have the hole from the old backbox so would look stupid,any pics or links etc. cheers

   wont sit right in the bumper mate, u could probably make it if your bought different mounts or something??

   damn! would it sit under the bumper? best of not doing it then.would mind cuttin more of the bumper so it fits like inside it. any pics ?

   nah havent got a pic mate. i asked the same thing as my mate has a spare gti exhaust and was told it wont sit in the recess so you coud cut the bumper but it would be more central also the pipe points down which will look shit

   is it a standard or an aftermarket one mate?
   some will fit the recess (just) some dont (ie pugsport)
   
   standard one would be hidden on the saxo like it is on the gti so would need to smooth the recess

   its a standard 106 gti backbox in goodnick. got it 50 fitted. took loads awork in gettin brackets to sit into the bumper. just cut the exhuast hole wider and it fits in. got it slightly at an angle.sounds very good. need to get a new gasket for the bottom of the down pipe as i can hear it blowing. keep an eye on my progress thread mate ill upload some pics tmoro if it doesnt rain

    std gti box is the steel downpipe like the one you get on lower model saxos, surely that will sound and look wank?

    well dont sound shit and looks ok id say. did give slight more performance to the old rusty std one.
