Noise when braking

   Just noticed a noise from braking in the VTR, it sounds like its coming from the rear but can't be sure... sounds like when driving over rumble strips. What could it be?

   have you checked the pads have any life left in them>
   
   best thing to do is check all pads and discs all round, then if thats not sorted it check elsewhere.

   could be surface rust on the disc, get it upto about 30 on a quet road and brake hard to about 10mph, speed up again and repeat it a few times. Also worth checking pad ware and disc condition.
   
   What is it grinding, ratting, knocking?

   Thanks will give it a try, its a nice muffled rumble-strip type of noise, nothing obtrusive.

   my dads car rear disc rotor colapsed or somthing, and like thudded every time he broke
