   hi i have a mk1 saxo vtr now it has a small problem when i drive it hard the temp guage goes nearly into the red and it sprays water out of the rad cap it only dus his when i drive it hadr its fine round town the fan does work when it gets to half temp the heaters are still earm and there is no sign of head gasget failing now i am a mechanic by trade and its really baffeling me as there is no air lock or any thing if any body has had the same problem or has had it fixed coulf you please help me many thanx also REP WIL BE GIVEN TO THOSE WHO HELP

   Change the thermostat? I would of said air lock though.

   radiator is getting warm so thermostat is opening correctly and as said above no air lok

   hi there
   im not sure, iv had a simlair issue with fine at low speeds buut hot when driven hard, i changed the thermostat and it was fine, never done it since, the only other idea could be the water pump?? im not 100 on that.

   If its comiing out of the rad cap, then you need to change that as that shouldnt leak!

   i shall try the thermostat first then and see what happens after that i have also ordered a a rad cap as well
