Would it not just be easier to buy a vts and save the hassle?

    dont need lockset mate.
    need:

    engine loom
    ecu
    engine
    top rad hose
    throttle cable
    top engine mount

if the ecu isnt unlocked you'll need the key and imobiliser from that car to unlock it. or send it away and pay for it to be unlocked.

dont use the vtr gearbox (you said you were leaving it in
its final drive is too long for the vts

plus its a lot easier to separate the box from the engine out of the car

Mate just buy a vts. its so much easier. If it takes u 12 hours to replace a wheel you aint got a chance and garages charge loads for that kind of work. You can pick up a nice vts for 2000.
