if you mean dropping the engine in it can be done yes

    pretty straight forward
only thing is the s1 (the 1.3 s2 was a 1.6) ecu mount is different
can be sorted by putting the saxo mount on the rallye engine
or welding the rallye cradle into the saxo shell

    anyone???

why not just buy a 1.3 rallye? but am not sure on what you need to put the head on. the 1.3 rallye has around 100-103bhp standard anyway which is faster then vtrs.

The 16v Head actually does line up however it will never work due to other parts not aligning etc.

The 8v heads are almost identical. if you wanted a rallye head you would need the inlet, TB, Wiring and ecu to make it work properly.

I have seen it work a few times and sometimes getting nearly 120bhp with breathing mods. however that seems a bit high.

Just go straight for 16v if your spending that sort of money. it is 120bhp to start with and is very revvy. the better base you start with the better

Not so, they fit fine. Actually the 1.3 106 rally uses the same block as the alloy 1.4. The 106 1.6 XSI, 106 1.4 XSI, 106 1.6 Rallye, 106 1.3 Rallye and Saxo 1.6 VTR heads all fit any of the TU 1.4 blocks.

On mainland Europa they did sell a 16V 106 rallye however we mever got that in the UK. We got the 1.6 8V rallye that has a engine very similar to the 106 1.6 XSI and the 1.3 8V rally that was effectively a XSI head on the alloy 1.4 block but with a custom short stroke crank that was only ever in the 1.3 rallye and sport engines.
