is there any guides on how to fit a driveshaft or can some one give me a short guide please. thanks

short shafts can be done in 30 seconds once the bottom ball joint is broken.
You will need to remove the bottom pinch bolt on the wishbone to strut join, loosen the top mount bolts a tad (not the middle bolt!!!) and in some cases remove the drop link to give you more ability to move about, it depends how strong or patient you are.
The long wishbone you will need to get inder the car and remove the two bolts in the holder that hold the intermediate bearing. Sometimes they jam in and you need to remove the actual holder from the back of the block. -

what shaft is it, short or long>
If you go under the car you can see the metal intermediate bearing holder midway along the long shaft and where it attaches to the engine etc..
Lower ball joint bolts you can easily see with the wheel off, follow the wishbone into the hub, and the strut slots ontop of the whishbone, so you need to remove the pinch bolt to push the wishbone down and out of the way so the strut can be pulled away from the shell to remove the driveshaft.
You will need to remove the central hubnut for the shaft aswell remeber -

its the one thats more of an arse to fit and remove due to the intermediate bearing. -
#8Surely on VTR's not removing the ARB drop link makes the whole operation a pain in the back side, not removing the mount connecting the ARB on the 1.1 makes it impossible.

#9im in a similar situation, but i need the short shaft out. once the bottom ball joint is broken how easy is it to get out, you said 30 seconds is that accurate?

#10Once the shaft is free from the hub on short shaft you can remove it. No fannying about with an intermediate bearing jammed in a holder.
