   kam sell a few piper cams iirc
   go for something like a 285 or a catcam 708
   
   make sure you get the right type for your engine as there are 2 types of vtr engine and the cams are specific to each type
   get a vernier pulley too so you can get the timing right
   also youll be needing a remap (im assuming youve allready got a mani n stuff on there too)

   well just about to buy the manifold, got all the cash now then was thinking cam it up then remap. the go from there, manic motors do one for 190 fitted what you tihnk off that any good?

   so whats the car running atm
   
   id get fully breathed (decent induction a decat exhaust n manifold)
   then get the cam stuff fitted and remap it in one go
   mapping usually cost in the region of 250-500 quid depeding who does it (yes for the bigger price you will probably get a better map)
   
   190 for a cam fitted isnt a bad price as cams are about 150 quid usually

    should be god but imo a good map is the most important bit
    
    mine went up 9hp from mapping alone

    mine was a vts
    had 152 at flywheel
    
    had newman cams bmc piper manifold and supersprint decat race centre and piper backbox
    
    vtr will see about 115-125 depending on engine type and condition

    ive seen a vtr running 170ish at fly
    
    was supercharged though
    
    could go bodies and a very wild cam you may see 160 n/a but it would be a very peaky car and would be horrific to try and drive
