I know its bizzare but i have just been thinkin about it. Soes anyone kno if its possible??
V8 saxo. Is it possible??

#2anything is possible if you have the cash
-
#3Money no object....yes.
Literally no reason to do it though as you could get more power otherways for the same cash. -
#4could be done
would really need to be mid engine to work and tbh a z cars vtech kit plus a charger will see similar power for less work (its a proven kit) and similar price -
#5why are we gettin LOTS of newbies recently asking stuff like this?
Also asking if you can have 4wd twin engines etc etc
Is it a newbie thing or somthing?? -
#6sounds a bit silly to me would rather have an uprated VTS engine or something
with similar power but for less money -
#9i think they like to ask questions
back in the day i was gunna do a v8 metro
had a plan worked out a rover 3.5 and a 1.1i metro in grey
was too rusty to use though
its a case of they dont realise how nuch work is involved i think
plus how much the extra engine weight will upset the handling -
#10Id like a supercharged LS7 engine over my rear wheels.
I dont have the 20-30K id prob need to do it lol -
#11I have a V12 5.7 Diablo engine and box for justs inder £18k
-
#13Bang my mum and have it for free....
-
#14ill be round in 10

not even for the lambo engine
jimo makes a mean cuppa
-
#18Pair of numpties

A bloke who spent well into 30k shoved a cossie engine in his white 106. was in the PFC issue before craig's saxo featured.
-
#19yep theres also a cossie engined ax in the works on ssc
and a v6 ax
and a front engined k20a type r engined saxo
skys the limit mate but deep pockets -

When i've finished uni in a Few years (I'll be 25), this is on my list instead of buying a new car. The VTR will be waaay over 100k miles by then, so a K20 in the middle will do the job nicely
-
#22do it ryan k20 ftw
would be a right toy then!! -
#24well true mate
but mid engine 200+ will be proper fun -
#26yea but a lot of them are just like right its in lets go play
sped some time setting it up and will be a little rocket -
#27Just fitted one of these myself quite compact and light
-
#28i remember that pic and the retarded replys LOL
-
#29yup hence the pic coming up again ryan lol

-

#35lol me and my dad have been on about this with his 5.7L supercharged V8

i said it would be hard to do, my dad said, naaaaah, it wont be lmbo
he is a wiz kid.
you could space frame it into the back, or have it in the front with the bulk head moved back.
dad said he would have it front mounted, move the bulkhead back and move the seat/driving position back. have the seats level on the floor and chop the roof down.
best to use a old jag rear axle, chop the prop shaft to fit the length of the car and chop the drive shafts to suit.
would have the car low at the front and then jacked up at the rear (so you can see the jag axle, discs are either side of the diff in the middle of the car
)
then a few small wheelie bars
would only be good in a straight line.
excellent power from using the SC and ethanol or methanol, could even bang a few turbos on. dosnt need it with the top end of 500bhp that its got.
i told him we can use my shell and his engine.
changed his mind and told me to fook off lol
i will get it one day

was in this capri until he sold the car and kept the engine
-
#36proper straight line monster
i dont like drag racing (i prefer the twisties) but seeing that motor in a saxo done like a proper drag car would be cool
i think mostly seeing the 3 inch charger belt spinning round n the engine just tourquing itself around in the bay with a blip would look insane -
#37it sounds awesome, the whine off the charger is insane
-
#38lol
i can just image a mark 1 with that poking out lol
the noise must be mental
does he run straight through or shorty pipes
id run shorties just so its as loud as possible
dinno where youd aim them out a saxo though lolz
EDIT:actually pics shows the side exit duh lol
