raceland enclosed filter.

   do the raceland enclosed filter make your car sound better than using a pipercross foam one. i have a standard vtr. any help please

   thanks mate, i do have a pipercross foam filter on my vtr and it does make alot of sound difference. witch is better tho.

   Pipercross foam is a bag of shite tbh mate
   
   the raceland enclosed is soo much better.
   
   yes its not as loud, but it will be doing a hell of a lot more.
   
   the enclosed will be getting the cold air from the front of the car into the scoop
   
   the foam shite will just suffer from heat soak as its next to the engine which is hot.

   i havn't had an open filter on mine so i can't really comment on noise
   
   I'm happy with the sound, you can hear it when you want to.
   
   sounds awesome when you put your foot down at low revs, then again at 5k
   
   my exhaust is a bit loud at 3k so i can't really hear it.

   I fitted an enclosed raceland with the green cotton filter on my old vts and it sounded much better than the pipercross it came with on it. It will defo be a better filter set up for your vtr and looks alot better too

   I think the raceland kills low down power as its only sucking air from small hole the rest is blocked off by the front panel

    thus it will be sucking the standard amount + whatever the scoop picks up
