Is it possible to remove the wing mirror glass without breaking it?

    As per title really.

I need to remove the colour coded strips on my wing mirrors so i can respray them to match my car. However I'm guessing that they are fixed from inside the mirror which means getting at them behind the glass.

Can the glass be removed safely without breaking it or damaging the electrics? How do you take the mirror apart?

Any help would be great as I've got no mirrors on at the moment..

just held on by a spring clip on back of mirror, move your mirror glass outwards and you should be able to see 2 little metal clips, just push together and they should spring off hope this helps
