Won’ go into 1st gear!!!

   Guys, Just got my car back from the garage, its been in there a week, drove it 30mile home and stopped at some traffic lights.. Thought I was in First when I released the clutch it started grunching and now won't go into gear but will do the rest
   
   Any Ideas???
   
   Could I have Fcuk'd the gear box or clutch??
   
   What price is a new gear box and clutch??

   could be the linkage has been bent/moved slightly?

   if it doesnt go into 1st straight away. select reverse then 1st. LIKE A CLOVE.... it moves the gates over... sorted...

   yup that happened to me on my old car, it was my linkage - cost £60 including labour, its gone on my sax before as well but when i was reversing, so every gear would work bar reverse

   lol i no - my gears on my saxo seem to be going all weird on me again and i only had the linkage changed in feb - so fingers crossed for us x

   my gearbox had a little accident a while ago when my clutch pretty much exploded and it cost me £425 to have my gearbox reconditioned. shitroen wanted £1100-£1300 for a new gearbox depending on which one it was and thats without labour

    Yep its def the gear box......
    
    But got recon one for £350 so happy now!!
    
    Shud be back on the road in no time!!

    happens to me going into reverse. i just put it into neutral then hammer it down into reverse works for me, i sh*t myself the 1st time it happend tho, thought the car was gonna explode lol
