   theres white stuff like mayonaise on one of the caps

   white smoke, higher temps, lower compression, shit in rad, sometimes shit on oil cap.
   may only have 1 of the above symptoms though.

   i had quite alot of smoke from exhaust last night but i dont know if that was because it was cold or not, also the white stuff was on rad cap and nothing on oil cap

   new car? its only a headgasket man. can be fixed in a day for under £100.

   o right sorry im usless with cars, just heard loads of people moaning about head gasgets and end up getting new cars lol

    For less than £100!!!!! I was quoted £300, they reckon the cambelt should be changed also, is this right or are they having me on?

    When your head gasket is about to go it is very easy to know when
    the main signs are :-
    
    1) The most common tell-tale signs is a yellow/brown ring around your oil cap.
    2) lots white smoke coming from the cars exhaust.
    3)your car temp gauge going higer than normal.

    They only reckon that as while they rapair the headgasket they can
    easily change the cambelt. its dont he to be changed but is recommened to
    be changed 45000 or every 3 years so thats all upto you..
    
    And at my garage we do the full headgasket + cambelt change
    for £400.
    yes costly but we give you back 3 years warranty with that so if you have a problem again we sort it free of change.
