206 Gearbox on a saxo?

   Hi guys im a newb... I found out today that the gear box on my saxo VTS is actualli out of a pug 206.... Is there any logical reason why anyone would do this?
   
   On a pug the speedo is cable driven on a VTS its run elecrically from the gear box and thus my speedo doesnt work....
   
   HELP!

   if its an MA box they would have bought it probably because they blew the old one and wanted a cheap replacement.
