door pillar stickers

    the black door pillar stickers are starting to bubble and look like crap on my vts!! im thinking about taking them off, what is the best way to get them off without making a complete mess of them?? cheers

    Hair dryer, the looks I got from my neighbour lol. Once they are off there is a chance that there maybe some adhesive left on the pillar. I used some product called 'Sticky Off' which is a none harsh adhesive removal which I think you just get from the supermarket but I think others have used stuff like white spirit but just check first as it could damage the paint. If you then want to replace it relatively cheap get something called Fablon from B&Q, cut to size and then apply, looks new again.

    does it damage the paintwork, taking a heat gun to it? say it is stuck on pretty well, will it cause much damage? it looks like it has been replaced before and the gut has done a s**t job putting it on lol

    As long as your careful & keep moving the heat source around you`ll be fine,just rembember to wash the whte spirit off then wax after, the spirit can soften the paint.
