BMC Fitting

  1. #1
    Hi ,

    Bought a BMC CDA with samco hosing , it fits fine etc but tere was a bit of metal stciking out where the standard one screwed into to hold it in place but the bmc's clip thing doesnt fit properly , i tryed bending it to meet each other but it wouldnt line up correctly. What have the rest of you done to secure them in place as i know a few people on here have them , i would just leave it on without it but im worried about the samco hosing being melted or affected by the heat.

    too dark to get a good pic but basicly , where the metal clip or whatever its called that is around the middle on this picture where it is supposed to bolt on the support that it screws into it way to far to the right for it to fit properly and even when i bent it down to line it up i couldnt quite get it right , just wanted to know how everyone else is doing it !

    then welded the long bit at the bottom to the plate that holds the battery in.. put a abit of velcro on the top of the steel and bottom of the bmc... doesnt move.. ever

    I dont have the bracket on mine, with silicon hoses you shouldnt need it tbh. Mine are quite firm;

    tryed it just by the hoses but noticed as it warmed up the hosing was getting very soft so didnt like the idea of leaving it like that. has no-one managed to bend the existing support into place ?

    when i had mine mate i didnt use the bracket. i just tightened the hose onto the original air scope at the front of the car like in your pic and left it. never had any problems
