hey, im new on here. any help would be greatfull, i had a mk1 saxo and it blew up next day lol, so fitted the mk2 98hp engine, changing oil filter etc to fit and got everythinbg on but when u turn the key it just sits idling on the limiter 6k rpm *ouch* have played about made sure no throttle is on took buterfly off if thats the name, ive read some threads about cars idling but al seem to be idling at 2k rpm, any help would be good? b4 going out and buying stuff thats not going fix and end up expensive lol. thanks Tommy

#2What parts did you swap to fit the 98hp engine? Did you swap everything looms ecu the lot or are we talking some hybrid? Off the top it sounds like simple idle control problem but if you have some how chopped and botched to get it in it may get quite complicated.

#4its the same e.c.u and loom mk1 wel everything is, apart from the main block, everything just went straight on, im not a mechanic so dont know alot lol, but were thinkin its geting 2 much fuel from someware wil this be e.c.u? thanks for your help.

#5I am a little confused as to what you have done there. You can not simply sway most of the early 90bhp parts on to a 98bhp engine as there are many differences. Everything from the inlet bolt pattern to the loom plugs are different.
