drum brakes

  1. #1
hi on my saxo 1.1 x 98 the back brake are drum brakes and they are playing (screaming dragging noise and vibration) and was wondering if they can be upgrade for better quality drums and shoes or be able to put disk brakes on instead

so any advice would be nice

youll struggle to find uprated parts for drums

to upgrade to discs youll need to swap the hole rear beam as the mounts are different
plus on a standard 1.1 you wont notice the difference

    id just stick with standard

cheers mate ive just found this site that have better quality drum brakes than the oem standard ones

    http://www.ebcbrakesltd.co.uk/produc...erID=3&cPID=43

    what do you think

they dont look too bad mate
but on a road use car you probably wont notice them much (front brakes do 90% of the work pretty much)

i can understand the want for the 'best' stuff like
but i would just save the cash and buy standard stuff

i just couldnt justiy that much for drums
can get drums and shoes for that

if you wanna uprate the brakes uprate the fronts imo standard drums make no difference (i even seen a guyin a breathed up vts converted 1.1 running drums on the back)
i ran standard drums on my cammed vts onversion for a short while
