you replied to your own thread??

can you not just buy a new nipple?
  4. #4
drill into it a bit and use a screw extractor to get it out then fit a new nipple.

sorry my mate was taking the piss and made me look like a nob..
and the threaded part of the nipple is still inside the hole but there is nothing to get it out with (its missing the top nut part) im guessing i will need new calipers?

well the nipples hollow so its already got a hole through it, so im half way there??

yeah, but the size extractor what will fit in that hole will be tiny and more than likely snap. drill into it a bit bigger.

ive tried extacting them a few times, with no luck, i ended up drilling it out and putting a bigger nipple in, when i used the extractor, i used the biggest one i could and it just snapped in the nipple, making it really hard to drill out as its hardend metal lol

I have those extractor things and they're rubbish in my opinion. Lucky I have spare calipers though. Although this doesn't help you though unfortunately.

ive used them plenty times and theyve worked. either your shit or your extractors are shit
  12. #12
all i did is get a flat head screwdriver, small one obv and hammer it into the hole, then grips to twist it out

depends if you get the one's with teh flute or the thread.

Had both ones with the flute do the job, ones with the thread are shite dont know why they changed the design.

your as straight as a roundabout.

Did use properly just the failed to remove my locking nut, one with teh flute did it first attempt.

funny roundabouts round your way then

just bleed it through the brake pipe union, trust me
  18. #18
you can just bleed it where the pipe connects to the caliper, but it not the ideal thing and does not get all of the air out as it is not at the top of the chamber in the caliper.

tried using the threaded screw extractors and they are useless haha!

i have drilled on out and put a new nipple in but im not sure how well in it is so im going to buy some more calipers
