Original ECU Re-mapping

    Dont know if this is the right section, lol, had a search but couldnt find what i want.

    I was wandering how much you can map the ECU ??? As in raise the revs, fueling ETC
    Are they as mappable as Standalone ECU's ???

    yes the standard ecu can be mapped, normally at a cost 0f about 450-500 quid

    It can be mapped.

    But why would you want to unless you have all the normal breathing mods + Cams!

    as far as im aware you can change most things uch as fuel/spark tables, raise rev limit.

    not sure how much in compare to a standalone tho

    its not as finely tweakable as a standalone

    and there are certain things you cant run on the o/e ecu such as throttle bodies (allthough after chatting to wayne at chipwizards he rekons he could try to get it running) however im no convinced tbh

    running cams (such as a newman ph3 ect) you can map the ecu fine and pop the limiter up a few hundred revs too
