is this god mile consumption?

#2How were you driving? In a vts i suppose thats alright. I think youre supposed to get around 80 miles to a tenner, but think thats for a vtr not sure.
-
#3I drive a vtr and get around 80 miles to a tenner
-
#4about 35mpg... it's alright but nothing special.

#5better than i was expecting, some people on here get like 150 per full tank right, wasnt sure if i read it right. what kind of mpg do you manage? thats a mixture of slow driving and a small proportion of booting it to 70 on the a52, but id say 75% of 30-40 mph driving.
-
#6You got about 27MPG, I thought VTS' were better than that?
-
#7depending on driver. you can make a vtr do 35mpg driving like a granny or you can put your foot to the floor and do about 23mpg
-
#8i think its also been remapped and have a performance exhaust on?
-
#9with a forced induction air filter, should have stated its not standard, soz
-
#10in ma vtr i got just over 300 mile on a full tank
-
#11i just got 47mpg (perhaps more - we'll have to see come the next fill up) driving home yesterday.
-
#13its about £1 per 10 miles for me.
-
#14I used to Average around 41MPG on my Furio (With a Mk1 Silvertop VTR Engine fitted).
That had Stainless Manifold, Cat and Stainless Magnex Catback, with a Raceland Induction Kit and Green upgrade.
Also with a VTS Fuel pump if they're any different.
I thought 41 was awesome, tbh, I used to get around 390 to a tank!
Though i swear there was something wrong with it to get that on mixed driving.. with the occasional rev limit here and there.. lol
With prices now it was around £39-40 a tank - When i had the car it was more £45 a tank.. -
#15petrol at 88.9p
full tank
drove 315 miles
still got petrol... will post up when i run out of petrol what mpg i achieved
pretty impressed with my vts's fuel return tbh -

#18i did 60/70 most of the time...Quote:good for a human pat, well done.
for adsayer though that is pants, poor show.
regards,
adam.
its boring to say the least although was impressed with the fuel return
the worst iv had is 193 miles from a full tank when it was standard, although i have only ever gone to a full tank twice...
whats the best uv had out of vts 380 miles? -
#19i get about 130miles from £20.
doesn't bother me because i only drive around 50 miles to work a week
-
#20i did 450 miles on one tank once, southampton to croyde and back, that was alot of coasting down hills and carefull driving, in a westcoast
-
#21Tell me all your secretzQuote:i just got 47mpg (perhaps more - we'll have to see come the next fill up) driving home yesterday.

From Edinburgh to Manchester earlier in the year i was dead chuffed with my miles untill i figured it out and i'd only acctually done about 35 mpg
-
#23i got 354 miles out of a tank on my vtr, town driving, no motorways. driving like a granny ftw!
-
#24Not had the car long so been checking my fuel consumption for the VTS.
If youre doing a lot of town driving and short journeys it will go down to 27mpg (im sure permanently booting it will take it lower) which is about 125 miles for £20.
If youre doing motorway journeys for a whole tank (without going too slow) you can get up to 36mpg which is 180 miles for £20 -
#25v-power and 65mph, no blasting it whatsoever.Quote:Tell me all your secretz

oh and an unmodded engine i guess lol
really surprised me man as I was expecting really gash mpg based on the comments from owners on here... but it's actually rather good...
but by christ it's soooooo tempted to mashing that throttle
-
#26i can get just about 300 to a tank £38.57 to fill from dead empty
-
#27it's gona all depend on how you drive- if you have a heavy foot then your gonna have to pay- just driving normal i will fill up and see 390 to tank everytime- about £34 which is very good for a 1.6!!
-
#28I get about 350 miles. But i think that you have to smash it every once in a while or you might as well be driving round in a smart or a blue motion. Lol.
-
#29hm i do alot of short jurny driving, from work to my girlfriends etc... dont want to fill up due to the weight of the petrol, so put 20 quid in and gets it over half a tank. would seem to get about 260 for a full tank witch i sapose ist that bad for a modded engine.
-
#30Hmm, i was running v-Power on my run too, alhough i think i may have being doing more than 65mph for the most part, car (or maybe my foot) seems to sit more happily just shy of 80 on the dials.Quote:v-power and 65mph, no blasting it whatsoever.

Maybe i'll upgrade to BP Ultimate's 102ron stuff for the next try
-
#31how much money have you got mate?!?!?! that stuff is like £2 a litre.
All I know is the vts standard map can cope with fuelz up to RON98 - so V-power it shall have. -
#32Mine was mapped on Vpower so it might not make a difference going to the 102ron stuff. It wouldn't be for daily driving anyway lol. I grudge putting the premium stuff in when i ave to fill up, although atm its only about 3p more than normal!
