ABS And Wheel Size Question Relating To EPROM

  1. #1
Been doing some reading up on re mapping my car lately and the things you can alter.
One thing i did notice was on most cars (not 100% the Saxo) you can alter the abs to the size of the wheels etc.

Now it may have been a coincidence, but when i fitted my rallye wheels after 100 miles my abs light came on, and it was kicking in at high speed etc

But then stuck my VTS wheels back on and it was fine, then rallye wheels went back on after a 1000 mile and stayed on after a few mile of hard braking the abs light was back on, and has been on since even with VTS wheels on.

Is it just a mass coincidence then? or can you actually alter the ABS within the EPROM.

NOTE: Am not looking for an answer to why my abs broke tbh just if you can alter it within the EPROM.

cant do the 3plugs with the ones on ebay if thats what your on about. need to spend mucho dollar to map your standard 3plug.
abs works when your wheels lock up. wheelsize wouldnt alter that.

not looking at that ebay shite, wasnt for my 3plug.
Out of interest was going to lash it to fryers old single plug ecu, take a copy of the map, maybe have a play around.

    Got to start somewhere

    p.s time you coming down?

abs runs off a different ecu so i think? i know on the clios they can remap the abs ecu for more track orentated use, but never found anything for the saxo.
