Pads and Discs help!!

   Right, my MOT is due in January, first week of i think! Need to do all discs and pads, but am unsure as to what to get, im thinking for now just to get me through to get some standard discs and rear pads, Halfords ones should be ok shouldnt they? Are the discs different on the back from the front on a MK2 VTS?
   
   I only need rear brake pads as ive already got my front ones from Halfords a while back as spares but cant actually remember if you get a pair of discs in the box from them! (stupid of me i know, but i guess you do!) IIRC the discs are £70 a pair? Not really sure, but for that amount am i better off getting some performance ones, if i can, for the same price?
   
   Any help is appreciated!

   Found on carparts-direct.co.uk for front discs, rear discs and rear pads total cost including shipping is £100. This good?

   yeah but you could get them a tad cheeper from your local moterfacters. dont use halfrauds mate thay are robbing c**ts

   halfords i dont think are actually that badly priced on brakes pads n discs, well mine isnt

   followed the ebay link, but it doesnt seem to show a photo of the whole lot, lists front and rear brake discs and pads, but has the pads and one set of brake discs!!

   my bad, it is the whole package, sounds and looks ok, but for £38 + P+P they seem pretty cheap! the only drawback to it!

   Theyre what Id reccomend mate, mintex are awesome for the money, slightly but noticably better than standard but well priced too

    although reading their feedback people are very happy with the items! maybe i should jsut go for it and get the hwole lot for like £45!! anyone on here bought these off them?

    cheers Ben, im not worried about performance, jsut want something to get me through the MOT as im selling the VTS in Jan to get a replacement car. Need something bigger as the seats dont go back far enough and im getting knee problems, plus im a little bored with it. Want a change!
    
    Might go for the mintex, not sure as of yet though!

    also Ben, do yopu still have the MK2 VTS interior? any photos? as i need to replace mine before selling as the previous owner decided to, what it looks like, drop hot rocks and all other stuff on the front seats! ive only got a spare interior without the front side airbags! which is useless to me!

    the MK2 VTS has the low pad sensor on it for the front pads doesnt it?

    Gone for the Mintex ones, for £73 incl P+P you cant go wrong!

    i have mintex aslo, there good, been using them for years. i highly reccomend them
