right im looking in to getting a 266 conversion would the old front caliper fit on the back as one of my rear ones is starting to stick .... are the front the same size as the rear or are the rears smaller?
  2. #2
    no they wont fit.

Rear ones are designed for normal and handbrake remeber. aswell as the fact they are at oppoiste ends of the disc.

    Just get new rears

You wouldn't want/need to uprate the rears unless you had a serious front setup. So ignore that thought

What's the problem with the rear calliper? Sticking under normal use or handbrake? You may just be able to unbolt the caliper, then operate the pedal to move the piston (a little bit, not a lot or it'll come out!). Push the piston back in, refit the caliper, copper grease the back of the pads. Job done...

i had bigger rear brakes on my vts for a few months was mental would lock the back wheel at 80mph on track days . not a good feeling dont put bigger or better brakes on the back u will crash or spin off if u have to brake hard on a corner .
