Can't decide on wheels :( :( help

  1. #1
Im getting alloys for xmas so need to order some asap

For the past year I've wanted 16" OZ superturismo WRC's for my black mk2 VTR but now its come to actually spending £700 on them I've come to a crisis.

Im not sure if there are nicer wheels for the same price or cheaper
I was thinking possibly TSW Catalunyas or something like that
Cause WRC's dont look very modified, they just look rally/track car

I DONT KNOW! Im thinking about it like 24/7 and cant decide.

I need to decide by next week

Its starting to do my nut in.

    HELP GUYS!

I would if someone was selling a set of white ones in mint condition with 195/40 toyo proxes

But I can afford new so may aswell get new.
But 2nd hand would be better because it would mean that if I changed my mind and got new wheels in a years time it wouldnt matter as much as if they were new..get me? lol

Also as they cost so much I wont be able to afford lowering yet. So will look moster truck for a bit

    Fair play
The place I'm gettting my wheels from says they come balanced etc, do you reckon they will put the balances inside the rim like on yours?
  19. #19
They should balance them on he inside as there is no outer lip on the super t's to tap the old style weights on.

Most are stick on zinc ones now as lead has been outlawed

I would wait until you've had it lowered before putting them on personally

Well your call tbh, but I would keep the standard wheels on until it was lowered. What do you think when you see, for example a standard looking corsa on big wheels without being lowered? I personally think it looks daft

But I've been quoted 180 all in to lower, so I will do it mid-end january.

May as well wait if it's only 4-6 weeks off.

    what tyres come with them?

mine would have come with budgets, so i bought the wheels on there own and then got toyo proxes from a garage, all in all only cost £60 more doing it that way, depends what you want though i guess

the oz's are 700 pound well spent imo

Yeh on the site im getting it from they come with budget 195/45 tyres, but for an extra £80 you can select to get 195/40 toyo PX-4. So Im gunna do that.

I can also get nitrogen filled for an extra £10 lol

Tbh I will probs get them and want to fit them to my car asap. I know it will look stupid but oh well. It means that people will like my wheels for 4 weeks, and then when i lower they will like my car even more all over again lol
