Has anyone ever smoothed the grille into the bonnet on a mk2 and does anyone have pictures?

#5i wouldnt do it with just filler mate, try and get it done in metal (nogrill at all) if you can, with just fibreglass and filler there is a very high possibility it will crack when your open and closing the bonnet

#6Preds right it would need a panel spot welding in. Then fill it and sand it down. Repeat process till happy. Then get it painted!

#9I've not got a badgeless i've got white chevrons on a posi blue car ... I just think the gap looks really pants on a saxo ... makes the front look cheap. Might try and bond the grill to the bonnet and use fibreglass and filler on the crack. Then just leave it without painting for a month or so and see what happens

#11ah quality idea, i am going to do this to mine now!! i have a plastic grill so will use a glue to get the grill solid all the way around and then fibre glass and fill it in.. will get pics for you when i do it..
