Wolfrace Pro-Lite (vs VTS)(vts wheel weight?)

  1. #1
Found them on the Wolfrace website and the 15's only weigh 6kgs!

Went hunting on ebay and found them for £370 with 195/45 tyres!

I know wolfrace are a bit pants but only 1kg heaver than Ultraleggera and nearly half the price! Think i'm sold. What does everyone reckon?
And does anyone know how much standard VTS rims weigh?

if it lightweight your botherd about get some c5 steel wheels 4.6kg's iirc

get some compomotives, or you could get the minilight alloys that used to be on mk2 escort rally cars. or the weller wheels they used to use they really weigh nothing, got to be some of the lightest wheels ever.

although these do look quite appealing.

do light wheels really make that much of a difference..?

Best place to save weight is unsprung weight, i.e. eveything between the springs and the road.

would getting light weight wheels actually make the car faster? would it do anything substantial to the PTWR? if the wheelsw where lighter wouldnt it allow the wheels to spin faster thus makeign the car accelerate faster?

Yeh, less effort required to spin lighter wheels. like comparing downhill mountain biking wheels to the wheels road bikes use

Would be interesting to hear any before/after opinions with standard/light wheels
