Hi, my saxo has had a clutch by its last owner and hardly turned a wheel since then. How can i tell how much life is left in it?

the only real way is to have the gearbox out, but i you wonna no if its gona go any time soon; put it in 3rd and pull away if it pulls away its f***d, if it stalls its ok, hope that helps

That cant be right, must depend if you know your biting point and how much revs you give it. I have pulled away in 3rd before. Doesnt mean my clutch is going though.

most people test a clutch on if it slips, so put it in 2nd or 3rd and from low speed give it some gas.

You cant tell if a clutch has tons of life left without seeing it and thats a gearbox out jobbie
