gear linkages

   jsut went out for a drive in my car, i up shifted pretty hard into 3rd and popped of the linkage, at the gear box end.
   
   pull over, off comes the bonnet and its actually split at the rubber, so new ones are needed.
   
   no i seem to remember there are three options for replaceing these.
   
   std one
   kam racing ones
   rose jointed >? sure i saw some rose ones a while ago
   
   ok are the kam racing ones worth £50 over std ones for £15

   x sport are the rose jointed ones
   
   ive got a set there very good iirc there about 35-40 quid for xsports

   the xsport ones are not rose jointed and neither are the ones on our site. They have metal locking clips to keep everything tight and in place.
   
   I wouldn't use rose joints on a road car as they need to have a certain level of maintanance. The ones we have can be fitted and forgotten about

   no problem. To fit the rose jointed links to a saxo gearbox isn't exactly plug and play. Will have a look for a picture.

   im intruiged now kam
   
   as i may want the full rose jointeds on my vts when i get it sorted (pure track car)
   im running the xsports atm n have gotta say im very impressed but there is still a little play n there

   we're looking at a few different rose jointed products to sharpen up the handling / help improve things on lowered cars suspension wise. Should have something for the gears early next year

    Slightly off topic but can anyone post a pic of where the linkages are, I'm still learning my way round the car.

    so there are three yes
    
    are the two the same (short)
    
    any ideas where to get them as standard as there coming up the same price as kams
