Bigger brakes

    i have searched before i get told to, and ntohing which i wanted to know came up, the search button is shite.

    waht brakes can i get from a scrapyard ect which are bigger than the standard VTR ONES? like off a 306 or something? i read something a while back but ive forgot, all help appreciated

    306 xsi, citroen berlingo van, xantia (amongst others) are all 266mm disks and fit straight on a saxo. Also fit under vtr rims.

    206 Gti 180 and 306 Gti's have 283mm disks and will fit under 15" wheels

    either 266mm or 283mm depending what car

    I count roughly 8 threads on this page alone that contain that information.
    You wouldn't even have to search.

    The Callipers off a facelift(2000+) Xsara bolt right on, they are bigger yet fit inside a 15" rim. Other then that there isn't much more you can do - other then Braided steel hoses and sintered pads. The breaking characteristics on the Saxo(and most cars) are down to the master cylinder.

    ive all ready have 266mm and i need to change them soon, can i get anyones from the cars and vans listed above? ta
