   hallllo, the gearbox on my saxo furio is on its way out, will a vtr box fit straight on or not as i am struggline 2 find 1 and theres loads of vtr 1s

   slightly shorter than the 1.4 box aswell which is nice

   I thought the VTR had the longest ratio's?

   longest final ratio iirc, means higher theoretical top speed iirc

   jus been 2 scrap yard 2day got driveshafts n gearbox out of a 2002 model vtr for 120

   1.4 is a shorter box over all, but not by a lot

    its all about xsi1.4 boxes

    i knew they were basically the same
    im just starting to learn the gearbox ratios atm
    
    my xsi box i think is going on my cammed gti

    Just make sure the drive shafts are the same as your furios. Drive shafts differ at the hub end, some are tapered and some sit flush.

    its the gear box off a vtr n driveshafts off a furio so they should fit i think

    Yea, at the gear box end, all drive shafts are the same so your furio shafts will fit in the vtr box fine.
    
    I think its early saxos (pre 2000) that had a different hub end

    hmm 150ish hp and an xsi box should be interesting
