Citroen Saxo 1.6 VTR Problem Please Help!!!

   I have a clunking/a creaking door noise arise when i take my foot off the accelerator, and when it accelerates straight after, it has been doing it for a couple of months now on and off and it seems to have got really worse today, please help me solve this problem as i am trying to sell the car... its costing me a fortune!!!    do you mean you have a creaking sound? sounds like its the suspension if its when you accelerate, is it lowered? does it do it over little bumps or speed humps?

   Hi, it is like a creaking sound, but it doesnt do it over humps it is only when i take my foot off the accelerator and put the clutch down... does that help... thanks for replying.

   and btw it isnt lowered.

   Sure your clutch isnt going? If its when you engage the clutch or disengage it, could be your clutch on its way out

   similar thing happened to me it turned out to be a cv joint needed regreasing and recapping or atleast thats what i was told.
   
   when i was on the motorway and doing bout 70 when i took my foot off the gas it vibrated and made a knocking/rubluming noise, then when i put my foot back on, no noise

   try rocking the engine to see if the engine mounting are making the noise, if you sit with the engine off and press the clutch pedal and the accelerator pedal to see if you can hear the noise, could be either the throttle cable or the pressure plate on the clutch.

   Thanks for that, its going into my mate in his garage on wednesday and see what he says, im trying to sell it so im getting it up to scratch, what cars would you recommend as a hot hatch to have without being modded, i was looking at the vauxhall astra vxr? ...

   i had the same problem had to have both driveshafts replaced in the end!

    depends on your budjet personally i think i will always have a saxo but if you want to splash out abit go for something like a golf r32

    i have just lowerd my citroen saxo vtr and now there is a really bad knocking noise. the ball joint are fine the so is everything else that i can see any help please
