catalytic converter

   going 2 put 4-2-1 manifold on mk2 vts which has cat under the car but want 2 remove cat 2 replace it with something that will give me more power plus pass m.o.t

   hi mate you'd need to be looking out for a sports cat for it to still pass mot but these can be a bit pricey. I would just get a straight through race pipe from kamracing which will decat it completely so you will gain much better power than with just a sports cat but you will have to put some type of cat back on for m.o.t but it's not a difficult job only takes 10-15 mins

   sports cat is the only option
   legally your supposed to have a cat on the car
   and for an mot it will fail (not only for emissions but as the cats not there)
   
   ive heard of cars passing emissions decat but i wouldnt wanna risk it tbh
   
   keep hold of your standard centre section and use it for mots

   you caould just put a km1 exhaust setup on. have your cat under the car instead of in the manifold!
