much difference

I've at last chosen a sportex backbox for my sax. Thing is I also need a new centre pipe. Is it worth the extra money buying the sportex race tube or just getting a brand new centre pipe from kwikfit or somewhere. Will I notice any difference in noise/power if I go for this rather than a bog standard pipe? It's on a MK2 1.1.

Is it a slightly bigger bore size than the standard? not sure what one to get it's a difference of £30. suppose the sportex one will last longer though.

mite as well get the centre section will make it louder as above but for an extra £49 ya might aswell. least it gets rid of the centre silencer

It wouldnt suprise me is a Sportex centre section was cheaper than a standard one.

I have no centre silencer on mine standard as it's a MK2 1.1. Just wondered if the race pipe is less restrictive than a standard one and justifies the extra money spent or not

it's not really much more expensive than just the backbox and will save me going to kwik fit for one

personally i love sportex, i think there excellent, av never had a prblem with them, i like the noise they make, they last a long time and are generally well made.

waht backbox ya getting with it? av got the 3" one, let me know how loud your system is with the race tub as well am thinking of buying one, just worried it will be too loud cuppled wiht induction noise.w

they are good for the price, couldn't stretch to a supersprint but it should make my 1.1 a bit more interesting

Do I need to get uprated mounts/clamps or anything?

I'm getting the 3" catback one. I have a green cotton induction kit on my car already, I'll try and get a vid up of how it sounds when I get it fitted
