#2all depends on how old the car is and what millage it has done.
If the cars new to you id personally give a dam good service includeing oil, air, fuel and change the plugs. This will ensure that everything is tip top.
Whilst your there best to inspect everything, aswell as greaseing and lubeing everything thats meant to be.1 user thanked this post: -

oil filter
air filter
oil change
coolant flush and change
might aswell do the cam belt
check the underneath
could always change the brake fluid aswell but id only do this if the brakes are sh*t or the fluid is dark brown
the search function is a wonderful feature, i suggest you use it -

#9it aint gona do any harm to change oil+filter, fuel filter, plugs, air filter (if you have one) i would also make sure the timing belt has been done.
-
#10my timing belt was done a 50k so should be fine.
this may be stupid but where can i find the plugs. -
#12Undo the two nuts either side of the coilpack and lift it off. Then use a spark plug socket to get them out.
-
#13where the best place to get all this stuff and what oil shall i use and what plugs
-
#14ngk plugs
-
#15cheers mate. where do get them from
-
#16any one else
-
#17motor factors, halfords ect sell them make sure you get the right ones XD dont buy cheap oil
-
#18I do mine like this;
Engine Flush, put in with old oil run for about 10 mins with engine warm.
New oil
New oil filter
New Plugs
New fuel filter
Clean Air filter (BMC)
Check the injectors flow using screw driver 'trick'
Then i waxoyl any bits and clean pretty much all the connectors for the coil pack, lambdas etc etc with a bit of spray on parts cleaner.
Coolant is usually crystal clear so not bad.
usually costs about £50, oil being the most expensive. And i try and get mosts bits from smaller car shops. Halfords isnt that cheap. -
#19you put oil in befor you change you oil filter ste ? how dya work that one out
