not really sure if this is a stylin question but oh well. when my sis had my car b4 me she had a new key cut by citroen (this was about 2-3yr ago) as a spare they charged her either £60 or £80 for it and even when they tested it it didnt work! but they sed it needed sum 'wear' even tho the citroen bloke spent 5 mins tryin to get it in the ignition and another 10 tryin to get it out!! well the other day i lost my key so grabbed the spare (for the first time) and lo and behold the metal bit fell out of the plastic bit! im now a bit worried bcoz the metal bit on my key is getting wobbly and i obviously dont want to go to citroen to have another cut. is there n e where 2 have them cut or can they only b done at citroen?

    thx

they can be cut anywhere, its the transponder chip in the key thats important, you could get the key cut anywhere and just have the origional plastic "fob" on the same keyring as the new key or even stuck to it, other wise the immobiliser wont deactivate
