im lazy so im wondering if any one else has done any interest into sticking some tb's on a 1.1 now i know i will prob get the usual judt do a s conversion and do it to that but im trying to go outside the box rather than the usual done thing. what exactly would i be needing and rough prices on things.any help is aprechiated (spelling) lol

there really isnt alot of point imo

when you factor in the costs of an inlet manfold, tbs, ecu, mapping etc.. plus TBs work best with wild cams (thats the point of bodies, allowing wild cams to get the air in each cylinder they need)

Even using bike bodies, inc mapping id expect it to come to 1500-2k

i know its now worht it when you factor in the costs but im just curious

well you could put any engine on bodies really if you wanted to

would deffo make for an interesting drive in a 1.1

remeber though that TU engines dont gain as much power on bodies in comparrison to say a vauxhall lump. TU inlet manifiold design seems to be very good as standard which could be part of the reason why bodies dont just give huge power hikes on standard engines.

    tis true ryan

boooost is the way forward, think if i could go back i would have done boost

yea i know but it would be really quite a revvy little engine lol

prolly still not see much over 100hp but its all about the fun of body noise on a tiny motor

why would it be revvy> without changing the standard cam you are keeping the same peak rpm power output.

1.1 on bodies without changing cam i wouldnt expect to see over 80bhp tbh let alone 100.

I dont even know what profile you would want to run in a 1.1 to, as im not sure how weak certain parts are.

£ for £ boost is the better option.

however it depends if massive bhp is what you ultimately feel you need to enjoy a car. I really miss my bodies when i dont drive the car for a month
