Sleeper yay or ghey?

   Think silver flat arch 106 normal colour coded bumpers and some normal pug alloys and nice and oe. Big fat intercooler behind front bumper is it a good way to go or should I at least get gti bumpers and s1 arches on?
   
   Engine wise you will all find out soon enough but it is another homebrew special

   the idea of a sleeper is cool but i couldnt do it myself as i'm a style whore.
   
   if it was my car, i wouldnt be happy with it looking like a flat arch.
   
   i have always gone for looks first, then speed.

   Completely agree with this. yeah your car will be rapid and surprise a few people but it will look shit to everyone else

    Well it has been decided what to do bodywork wise and it will stay flat arch, but just need to sort bodywork out, smooth bumpers and spoiler small amount of lowerage bosh job done.
    
    Controvesy haha well thats all in the enigne choices yet again and probably how much it is costing me to do lol But hey opinions welcome on what to do ideas etc all good

    200bhp sounds sweet but 200bhp in a vts/vtr/furio is still a sleeper. most people wouldnt expect 200bhp from a saxo/106.

    Those bumpers would have to be colourcoded lol.Just imagine a flat arch rollin through town thinkin chav in his "done up 1.1" then pssssshhhht as he burns off would be gobsmacked.

    If you are gonna make a sleeper it must be a PROPER sleeper, ie taking a 1.5d rusty 106 and then shoving 200bhp under the bonnet, obviously leaving the 1.5d badges etc on. Obviously upgrading ARB, Torsion bars, brakes, sus, etc. Expensive job though, what you budgeting?

    So far in regards to parts its less than £660 for all the turbo bits car is only costing about 4-500 once ive got down to the nitty gritty of it. The important thing is if you can do most of the work yourself you are onto a winner!

    I think you'd still think, fuck me thats quick, heres me in my bmw/audi/merc or whatever, a lot of people dont think about engine changes etc when they see a quick motor. Motorway/Duel carraigway fun would be the best though, when they try to go past, and you just dont let em . Brilliant stuff

    I'd call it a weapon. Needs steelies as well and a hidden exhaust to be a sleeper
    
    But yeah, I LOVE this kind of car. The money spent on arches and bumpers can be spent on more power or lighter parts!

    A Nurburgring VXR gave it beans on a short motorway sprint and I went off in persuit. No silly speeds were met and it was a rather empty road. Coming to the end of it and seeing him roll down his window to say "What the fuck is in that, it's fucking quick!!" makes the shite look worthwhile imo

    Personally if its a sax would have to be a VT shell or a pug Gti shell, would have to be one of those even if i called it a sleeper!
