Saxo Fog Light Air Intake- Group Buy!!

  1. #1
    Heey guys and gals.

Ive seen loads of 106's with them fog lamp replacers in (where it fills the hole but leave a small hole for induction feed?) and i was wondering if there was any place i could get some for my saxo?

    cheers
  2. #2
If you dont know what i mean, then have a look on Rushys progress thread. He has them.
  3. #3
Dont people just take the bulb and glass off then spray the inner fog cover then cut the bulb holder off? thats how i done my last one but didnt like it.

Sorry for spam if im wrong lol..
  4. #4
J-Reid has them on his saxo. i think he got them from citroen?

maybe pm him or search his threads
  5. #5
take em out and mesh the hole thats left
  6. #6
    no... Like this:

Like this, but for the saxo?

Hope you dont mind me using your car as an example Rushy.
  7. #7
iirc streamline carbon are in process of building them.
  8. #8
the inlets on the 106 are off the 106 rally, but im not sure about saxo 1s.
  9. #9
also saxo fogs arent round, 106 fogs are, so just take fog out, put cold air feed in, with a saxo you would have to get a fog light cover and cut a circle in it and then use that.
  10. #10
think these are what u mean?http://www.venommotorsport.com/manuf...uct=AirIntakes

I think they should have one for one side with a hole for a cold air feed and the other side no hole. so just a carbon fibre cover. then that would look ok if people want just 1 hole

Fog light covers look silly imo, so you would have one with a hole in like on the rallye 106 and then one covered. I would rather have two with holes in, will look schweet as feck. Any more people interested?

Nick2506, this is just for them to be made, by the time they are made you maybe could? lol. We should all have a fund raiser for Nick
  32. #32
yeah all fogs are the same cause i used the ones from my desire bumper when i fitted my vt kit. even if you dont have the holes in your bumper you can cut the holes out and the bumper has the mounting points on it. as i put fogs in my old forte so every one can enjoy the carbonness

well the more names the better if we get 20 folk the cheaper they will be.
  48. #48
I will almost definatly buy them as long as there is 2 and they are under like 60 quid

Think they would look immense with widemouth and carbon wing mirrors
  49. #49
    UNDER 60!!!
I thought they would be like £20-£30. Im out.

Well why dont we just wait to see how much first before you drop out.

I wouldnt imagine them to be £60 mate.

Whos CCF? We should contact these also. Im not bothered whether mine are carbon fibre or just fibreglass. As long as they are black.

Just to let you know I have dealt with streamline carbon a lot in the past and there products are very good but not cheap. I would imagine they will be close to £50-60, the 106 ones are £60. I just thought I would say as people expecting to get them for £30-£40 are wasting there time.
    1 user thanked this post:
  54. #54
Price isnt a worry for me personally. But tbh im not bothered whether we get this CCF or stream line carbon. As long as i can spray em black if theyre not carbon.
-Does anyone know what CCF is?
-How can we contact them about making some up for us?
    -Rough price?
  55. #55
CCF= CAREFULLY CRAFTED FIBREGLASS company name google it
  56. #56
Heres the reply i got from streamline.

    James

I will confirm a price over the weekend for you, approx £80-100 tbc once we have a closer look, and i am afraid no we cannot simulate what they will look like, other than fitting into the fog light recess exactly and obviously being in carbon, we will mould direct from the bumper so match of shape will spot on

    Kind regards

    80-100 sounds fair tbh.

id buy some if i was keeping the sax

  62. #62
I will have a word with CCF next week, I am having some door cards made specially so I am in contact with him.
The price quoted is way too much, I think from previous prices I have had from CCF were talking about £40 max posted. All depends how many want them etc....

He might want something to base the mould on, so I am guessing a foglight is the correct shape lol.

Great stuff mate. Please let us know when you speak with them.
I think if everyones going to drop out because of the price quoted from streamline then maybe we should start a new group buy for the ones from CCF.
  64. #64
the price from streamline is pretty steep, id be interested if a lil less, ill still keep my eyes open for ones from ccf ..
  65. #65
tbh i think its alot of money for people especially just afetr crimbo, so how about we start another one but from CCF?

  66. #66
the streamline quotes about right in fairness, if you want carbon, and well formed carbon, youve gotta pay the price. If you just wanna paint em black that fibreglass seems liike the way forward. Ill be interested in the future if a mould is made but cant buy now

  69. #69
i would be intrested in a non carbon fibre cheaper alternative, my main priority is quality. I dont want something thats going to look crap lol

Im expecting another message from streamline shortly with a confirmed price in case anyone is still intrested.
  70. #70
LOL i said everyone would drop off the list once the price was revealed lol
  71. #71
I might also be interested in the non - carbon fibre alternatives
  72. #72
right OK. Well seeing as how everyone wants the fibreglass alternatives then please put your name down for interest.

so far me & stu_n_shell. Does anyone have CCF's contact details so we can get a price confirmed?

TBH i was in it for the carbon,

Once theyve got a mould they have a mould doesnt matter wether there making fiber glass or carbon i believe maybe totally wrong.

So if you speak to ccf see what they say see if they could do some carbon some fiberglass see what the prices are.

Wouldnt mind paying 80 if they are good quality i.e screw in using same screw holes, theres 2 of them and they fit decently

Im sure that the quality would be very good from streamline, I have a feeling though that they are going to push in from the outside of the bumper and then require bonding in.

Carbon Fibre Fog Light Surrounds (Mk1 & Mk2)
Aesthetic addition to your standard front bumper, require bonding in position.
    Weight = TBA
    Price = £74.99

don't know if thats what your looking for, very intrested myself sorry if its not wish they had pictures up haha.
  80. #80
nah those are wierd looking foglight surround things theyre not ducts like
  81. #81
£79.99 for the intakes to suit Saxo bumper, are they all the same for phase 1/2 ? vtr/vts / etc, as in we would not be able to cater for varying versions within the 10 sets, only 1 generic version. The components would require bonding into pisition from behind the bumper (removal of bumper would make for a better job).

100% pre preg carbon fibre and finished in 2k lacquer, gloss finish

We can offer grp versions also, price of £50 a pair (finished in black gel coat unless specified)

Postage & packing £3.00 per pair (recorded delivery)

    thanks

nope. lol. We got a price for the carbon fibre ones, but we need some pics of how they would look first before people say yeah.

    Any pics Bicston?

As for the fibreglass ones for CCF, never heard back from the guy who was talking to them. I think we shud just start a group buy, just for the carbon ones. Get some pics up Bicston and i'll be deffinately up for it.

    How many will we need?

    Thanks
  94. #94
ah safe, yeah pics of the carbon would be good, tbh i was more interested in the fibreglass but if the carbon looks good i might be in, have to see if i can scrounge enough money together
  95. #95
Well Bicston has offered a GRP one for just £50. Ive Pmed him now to get some pics so we can have a propper group buy.
  96. #96
is GRP the carbon fibre company? 50 isnt bad for a pair yeah, provided it all looks good, id be in for 50
  97. #97
Well when we get the pics put your name down
  98. #98
il be up for carbon ones
  99. #99
We need a minimum of 10 people.
Anyone interested please put your name down. I received PM for Bicston saying that they wont make them untill theres 10 people.

    1. Si_pow

    next person.. lol
  100. #100
this is something im very interested in however, i wouldnt buy anything without seeing what they are like first, dont manufacturers understand this lol
  101. #101
Lol. Bicston said that we need atleast 10 people interested before they design it. So i dont think they expect payment before you see it mate. lol

Take the glass off your foglight, cut the back out to your air feed hose size, and fiberglass it yourself to a smooth finish, cheap, and just as good
