Dear Saxperience fans, Would somebody share with me any experience related to finding black motor oil into the coolant? - What might be the reason? - My Saxo is 7 years old and has hardly passed some 25000 miles... I am surprised how poor strength this car has... Any similar experiences?
Important! : motor oil found in the coolant

#2sure its oil mate? I had a resedue in my coolant bottle when I flushed my raditor but it happens in all coolant bottles.
Brown sort of goo? -
#3sounds like head gasket but it has low miles?

#4Still 7 years old, mileage is irrelevant. Headgasket like any other seal perishes over time.
Sounds like headgasket im afraid -
#5yep yep head gasket mate oil or browny goo in the coolant means the seal on the gasket is well gone.....

#6Exact same thing has happened to me, but the white smoke pouring out of the exhaust also gave me a clue that it was head gasket and when i got quoted £400-£500 i nearly shat myself. All i can say is ring round to find your cheapest quote luckily i only had mine 2 months so i took it back to the garage and am having it done for £200.
I have a 1.5D so i need a skim and crack test as well and the engine runs under more compression than petrol, the gasket is £35 on it's own.
Just make sure you get a good job done or else you will have thw same problems again.
