Halfords Scratch and Chip Repair

   Just bought this in Poseidon Blue to repair a few marks on the rear bumper from the previous owner's reversing skills.
   
   Anyone else ever used it?
   
   And once you applied the primer, did you too have a moment where you think, "What if I **** it up?"
   
   How does it turn out?

   the colour match on those things is about as good as Black being considered a 'good match' for white paintwork.

   i bought some color from carmberly auto factors that was a good color match but was a tin. I have painted quite alot of stuff and am not to shabby with an airbrush and trying to coverup that is hard and i dont think you will get it to match very well best bet getting someone to do it properly pop to a paint shop and they might only charge you 30 quid to dust a corner of the bumper in....

   sayers hit the nail on the head! when i got my car it has bits touched up, the colour is completely wrong. it may aswell had been dulux red
   machine polished it off and the scratch looks better tbh

   Touch up pen and lacquer from Citroen is only £6.20 mate I'd take the Halfords one back £15 quid or something it is rip off

   Maybe whoever done it picked the wrong colour?

    hmmm id say leave it dry and get someone to machine polish it off with a compound (someone who knows what there doing)
    
    but then again if you dont know anyone it means taking it somewhere like a bodyshop who will have the stuff
    maybe the easiest option is to finish what you started and grin and bear it! maybe youll strike lucky with the match

    If you buy the paint from Cit you can apply it over the primer bud

    I stuck this on mine last week and i kept thinking to myself it will look ok when it dries but it looks shit not really noticable from far though.

    Applied the colour with the intention of going to a body shop to get it repaired if it all went breasts verticle.
    
    It's a complete match in colour.
    
    Just need to let it dry, add the second coat and then laquer but for now, I can't fault it.

    I need some for a massive stone chip. Message is Avoid Halfords then and get it from Citreon? Are these easy to do and look alright once done?

    i used it no need to take it back. the colour match was terrible so i bought the spray can of the colour which is a good match and sprayed some into the lid , used the brush from the repair kit and painted that onto it.
    So basically the primer and laquer are orite to use, but the colour stage, use the spraycan but spray the paint into the spraycan lid and just brush the paint on
